Our core business is to create, develop, and contribute to sustainable innovations. We work for the people and companies we support to make an impact on society – that they contribute to a positive influence on society.

We have meeting places and business developers in all of the county’s 13 municipalities. In this way, we can combine a regional offer with local presence.

The mission of Science Park

The overall objective of Science Park is to create more entrepreneurs, more growing companies, and a strong regional innovation system. Through our business development efforts, we usually meet 1000 ideas per year and we contribute to 250-300 company starts. From the 1000 ideas we meet, we actively continue to work with about 100 ideas and companies.

Our operations are primarily funded by our owners and through projects supported by, among others, Vinnova and the EU’s structural funds.

As a publicly funded operation, Science Park has a societal responsibility that we want and need to take. We want to practice what we preach, we want to be a part of driving change, and we want to be at the forefront.

For us, the starting point is to promote and support entrepreneurs in developing sustainable businesses. That is: to advocate a business that creates ecological, social, and economic value today and for future generations.
